We are part of the Ridgefield School District in Ridgefield, Connecticut, and we’re proud to serve over 300 wonderful students every day. Veterans Park boasts some of the best students, parents, teachers, and administrators around. A Message from Our Principal Dear Families, It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Veterans Park website! Please take the time to look around and see what great programs and services we offer our students. At Veterans Park, we all work together to ensure that our students achieve at their highest potential. We pride ourselves in always striving to know what they need and provide the most effective means of supporting and guiding their learning. I am so inspired by this outstanding staff of educators with whom I share my days. They are smart, passionate, and dedicated professionals who bring the very best of themselves to our community every morning. Our PTA is an amazing group of parents and caregivers who support all aspects of our school in the most generous and creative ways. We are all so grateful for everything that they bring to VPES to supplement the educational experience for our students. From cultural events to donating their time and talents, they enhance whatever is happening as a school or in individual classrooms. I've saved the best for last: our students. They are truly wonderful, kind, and open-minded young people who are ready to learn and do so with all their hearts. I speak for the entire staff when I say that we feel honored to share this journey with them. D. as the new Superintendent as of April 1, 2020. Her message to families can be found here . School Closure Update: In accordance with Governor Lamont’s statement issued May 5, 2020, Ridgefield Public School buildings will remain closed for the 2019-20 school year.
